In
places white, in places grey,
The
King of endless winter lay,
In
a frozen world with warmth at bay,
There
lies his home and there he’ll stay,
In
a land of darkness,
Where
no light shines,
He
breathes the snow, he breaths the ice,
He
grips his world in freezing vice,
His
power wanes, yet waxes twice,
His
bitter home does none entice,
In
a land of darkness,
Where no light shines,
He
toys with pearl, with winds and snows,
The
secrets of the storm he knows,
The
gale he breaths, it ever blows,
The
secrets of the storm he knows,
In
a land of darkness,
Where
no light shines,
Devoid
of warmth and light his home,
Now
ever in the dark he roams,
Once
he knew the sky’s blue dome,
But
now he lives where no light comes,
In
a land of darkness,
Where
no light shines,
His
life is sad, there shines no light,
The
Pale King’s heart, it lost its sight,
Living
now in endless night,
Where
bitter is the blizzard’s blight,
In
a land of darkness,
Where
no light shines,
In
places grey, in places white,
Where
he knows neither sound nor sight
He
shuns the day, dwells in the night,
Vëtërïs
Kön’Nûngí knows no light
Nice repetitive effect. I like it.

DeleteI agree with Joel, excellent extended rhyme.

I like it, T! I don't have any critique, as I know you want - for I am just a very young, inexperienced poet.
ReplyDeleteHm... I wonder what Vëtërïs Kön’Nûngí means.
